Earn a HUD housing counseling certification
Pivotal role in the launch of Genesis Garden’s housing counseling services
Develop and lead sessions such as financial education, budgeting, credit counseling, renting, home repair, and homeownership preparation.
Ideal candidate takes initiative and demonstrates a strengths-based view of all people. Well-organized, eager to learn, and solution-oriented. Well-suited for those with an interest and long-term career goals in housing counseling and low-to-moderate income homeownership.

Recovery Corps AmeriCorps VISTA, Sept 2026-2027

Help others build a healthy life in recovery as part of Recovery Corps!
Provide peer support to those in recovery from substance use disorders.
Recovery Navigators are peers who work 1-on-1 with people they are serving.
As someone with lived experience in recovery, navigators offer individual support and mentoring to people as they work to achieve their personal recovery goals.
Gain professional experience as you help make recovery possible
A paycheck every two weeks 
Additional money for college tuition or student loans. Members aged 55+ may gift this to their child, grandchild, stepchild, step-grandchild, or foster child 
Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment  
Free individual health insurance for full-time members 
Child care assistance – based on family size and income

Receive custom training, support, and networking, in housing and community development, in addition to the traditional benefits of AmeriCorps VISTA.
Develop and implement fundraising tools and strategies and raise funds to construct a tiny home or other residential property development.
Develop a structured volunteer program, overseeing volunteer outreach and management processes such as training, record keeping, and recognition.
Launch a pilot program for our housing participants to volunteer in the community.
Ideal candidate is a great writer who takes initiative and demonstrates a strengths-based view of all people. Outgoing, well-organized, and community-driven. This role is well-suited for those with an interest and experience in fundraising, grant writing, and volunteer management.
